Cambridge & Peterborough Boomerang Programme Optimisations

The BOOMERANG programme pilot has been activated across Cambridge & Peterborough, providing your practice with the opportunity to optimise medicines through automated digital engagement with patients eligible for activated medication switches.

As per the ICB Medicine's Management Team, this inhaler optimisation programme will be an opt-out programme. This means that patients will be given two weeks to respond to the questionnaire stating that they wish to opt out of the switch, but otherwise if they have viewed the patient lander page they will be considered eligible for switching to the new inhaler.

PEGASUS – Patient Engagement Governance-Assured Supporting the Use of Services.

A new approach to patient engagement is available which can automatically identify and engage with eligible patients, educate and consent patients for the optimisations.
